Bradley Cooper and his mother, Gloria Campano, recently starred in a T-Mobile ad together during the Super Bowl. The mother-son duo showed their comedic sides to promote the cellphone company’s 5G services. The pair were in stitches after several failed takes — a fact the advertisement lightheartedly mentioned.

The ad had Bradley playing the role of a T-Mobile store clerk while his mom posed as a customer. Gloria walked into the store and immediately caused her son to burst out laughing after she mentioned she didn’t like his appearance.

Gloria pulled out all the stops to make her son giggle, and she commented on his pink T-Mobile shirt, stating, “You look like a flamingo in this.” Needless to say, the ad wasn’t shot in one take, but it seemed like the mom and son were enjoying working together.
Although it might seem like Bradley and his mother don’t hold back, they also showed their loving sides at the end of the ad.

Although Bradley and Gloria fumbled many of their lines, they managed to end the ad successfully. They closed by reciting the ad’s tagline together, saying in unison, “America’s largest 5G network.”
Bradley Cooper Shows up with His Mom: She Can’t Help but Mock Her Son
The more Gloria and Bradley tried to get the perfect take, the more they made each other laugh. At one point, the mother couldn’t keep a straight face, and she declared, “You’re making me crazy.” Gloria kept poking fun at her son throughout the ad.
The loving son even told Gloria to move in with him after Charles passed away.
In another failed take, Gloria said to her son, “Smile, you look like a clam,” to which her son responded, “I think I know what I’m doing. I’ve been nominated nine times.” Gloria instantly fired back, “Yeah, but you never won any.” Bradley proceeded to fall off his seat from laughter.
Although it might seem like Bradley and his mother don’t hold back, they also showed their loving sides at the end of the ad. The mother and son embraced each other in a big hug, and Bradley congratulated his mom on doing an excellent job.
Even T-Mobile got a few jokes in, since they started the ad by saying they “tried” to film with Bradley and Gloria. The company jokingly implied the process of making the ad was made exceptionally difficult by the two’s constant breaking of character. However, it was clear that the company was happy with the end product.
After Dad’s Death, Bradley Brought Mom to Live With Him
Bradley has always had a good relationship with his mother, but the two became even closer after the death of Bradley’s dad, Charles Cooper. Bradley’s dad sadly passed away in 2011 after a lengthy battle against cancer. Ever since, the actor has prioritized his mother, ensuring she has everything she needs.
Bradley also looked after his mother during the pandemic.
The loving son even told Gloria to move in with him after Charles passed away. Bradley commented on having his mother around, saying she’s excellent company and he has been enjoying it immensely. He explained why he decided to have his mom close to him after Charles’ death:
“She’s a cool chick. We can hang. And she can roll with the punches. If that wasn’t the case, there’s no way. My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are.”
Bradley, the youngest of two siblings, also commented on life with his mom. He mentioned that having his mom around is great fun, but it comes with some drawbacks as well. He admitted that it might not be the easiest thing for Gloria either, but he said, “It’s life.”
He Locked Himself up with His Mom and Daughter and Never Left Home during the Pandemic to Protect Them
Bradley also looked after his mother during the pandemic. At the time, Gloria was 80 years old and had a colostomy bag. Bradley knew that if she had been infected with COVID-19, it would have been the end of the road. So, the actor decided to do what needed to be done and hunkered down with her. He explained:
“I’m with my daughter and my mother and my two dogs, and we have not left the house. My mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag, so I can’t let anybody in the house. And I can’t leave the house, because if she gets it, it’s over.”
Bradley spent the entire pandemic with his mom and his little girl, taking on the role of caretaker and teacher. Although things were slightly cramped in the actor’s house, he said they managed by spending time in the backyard, and he taught his daughter to swim in the bathtub.
